About
Dr Nozibongo Voxeka
Dr Nozibongo Voxeka is a Paediatric Neurologist practicing at Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital. She has a special interest in childhood epilepsy.
Dr Voxeka completed her MBChB at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) and completed her FC Paed with the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in collaboration with Pietermaritzburg and EThekwini Hospital Complexes.
She also completed her subspecialist training in Paediatric Neurology with CMSA at UKZN/ Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital (IALCH), where she gained valuable knowledge about common and rare complex neurological conditions that affect children. She has a Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics & Child Health.
Besides being a Paediatric Neurology subspecialist, she encompasses a holistic approach with the well-being of children, recognising that effective treatment extends beyond understanding and treating the medical conditions but encompasses emotional and psychological support.
Her years of experience working with both sick children in general and those with neurological disorders have not only enriched her medical knowledge also deepened her appreciation for each child’s unique needs.
Her commitment to patient-centred care is complemented by her patience and strong work ethic, ensuring that she strives to provide the highest quality of care. She prides herself on her interpersonal skills, fostering meaningful relationships with both colleagues and parents.
Her collaborative approach allows her to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, all focused on what is best for the children they serve. She is excited about the opportunity to continue making a difference in the lives of children and their families through compassionate and comprehensive care.
